Beau Cornelius

Pianist, Composer, Pedagogue, and Intellect

Bio

Dr. Beau Cornelius is a 27 year-old jazz pianist, adjunct professor, private musical instructor, and producer based out of Miami, Florida. In May 2024, Beau graduated with a Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree in Jazz Instrumental Performance from the University of Miami, Frost School of Music. His Doctoral Essay, “A Historical and Musical Primer of Jazztronica” is the first dissertation to provide musical, technological, and historical documentation of the electronic music sub-genre jazztronica in an academic setting.

Dr. Cornelius consistently performs five nights per week in multiple locations in South Florida, and holds weekly residencies at the Betsy-Ross Hotel, the Faena Hotel, and the West-End Lounge. In addition, Beau performs private events and is open for consultations on musical instruction, performance, and composition.

Beau has studied and collaborated with notable artists such as Gregg Field, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Javon Jackson, John Clayton, Wayne Bergeron, Alphonso Johnson, Rodney Jordan, Alan Pasqua, Russell Ferrante, Peter Erskine, Patrice Rushen, Dafnis Prieto, Chuck Bergeron, Dan Jordan, Martin Bejerano, and Aaron Serfaty. He has also opened for major artists such as P Diddy, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Dianna Ross, Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, Pitbull, LL Cool J, and the Chainsmokers at the 2023-24 American Express Carbone Event. ​
